The Air-Serve Map™ is an alternative to an ALTA survey that provides a faster, less expensive way to insure title to land, free and clear of survey matters, except those disclosed by the Air-Serve Map™ investigation. It involves taking a high-resolution ortho aerial photograph of the property and then overlaying to scale all the information of record (i.e., boundaries, easements, etc). The Air-Serve Map™ is an acceptable alternative to ALTA surveys because the information of record for properties is typically very good, present aerial photography technology allows for precise digital vertical shots and Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) provides the ability to overlay the scaled information of record on to the aerial photograph.
